I met with Steve for the first time today. It was exciting, because he brought his drawings and his ideas. He looks quite interested by the project. It feels more real to me now that we’ve met. I left that meeting with wind in my sails.
One of the highlights was that Steve was suitably pleased with the drawing I did for him. Coming from him, I’ll take it as a compliment. I was already happy with it, given the time and energy I had last night, but this was a nice.
Unfortunately, it gave him the impression that I am more skilled than I really am. It took me a lot more time than it would for him, seeing as its his craft. He suggested I draw him my ideas. I wish I could, but it would take longer.
And it would likely be less coherent. I’m far too rusty.
Anyway, it was a good meeting. I’m excited. Really looking forward to seeing how this will develop.
It’s nothing monumental, but I’ve also logged in and started exploring Kickstarter. It’s a bit daunting, truth be told, because there are some really great projects out there. I’m surprised by how many comic strips projects are on here.
Breathe. Baby steps, baby steps.
Started by going through the settings to see what suits my needs best. Most sites have a variety of privacy and communication settings so it’s a good idea to start with that before it’s too late. Strangely, Kickstarter has little of both.
