Two weeks

Teaser 13

It’s been nearly three weeks since I lasted posted. In that time, I blanketed media outlets with our press release*. We garnered some interest, most notably from a sites devoted to political satire.

What I hadn’t considered was that the election campaign is taking up everyone’s time, leaving most of our contacts spread too thin to devote the required time to a new submission – especially a comic strip.

So we’ll see how that goes.

My impression is that we may get more interest as we near publication date; it’ll spur a few people on in a way that only deadlines can. But will it translate into wider coverage? Only time will tell…

In the meantime, production fell a bit behind and Steve is ramping it up to get the strip out in time. That means cutting some corners, which I’m sure he’s not entirely satisfied with. But it’ll look good.

He’ll find a way. 🙂

Interviews should be coming down the pipes very soon (we’re doing one tomorrow night, actually). We’ll let you know if any of that sees the light of day, and also provide links when it does.

Stay tuned.

‘Beans’ is coming September 7th!!!

The never-ending campaign begins. Or continues?

And so it begins

We’re coming for you.

Yes, you.

You, the media.

Now that the KS campaign is over, we can set our sights on promoting ‘Beans’ in the papers and on websites. It’ll be a long hard road since we have to start from scratch and with no experience, but it’s got to be done.

We put together our first press release and hit a few outlets today. We’d have done more but we can only research and collect so many email addresses. But we will continue and try to reach as far and wide as we possibly can.

Why today?

Because the election has been called.

Already.

Do we need an 11-week election campaign? No, we don’t. It’s overkill. It’s a massive waste of taxpayers’ money. But someone decided that blanket coverage for an unprecedented 78-day campaign was a good thing.

Ahem…

And so we start our own campaign, to spread the word of ‘Beans’.

Stevie is coming. President for life… or else.
